It was a milestone week last week as the final module of Nomodic’s next 48-suite supportive housing complex for BC Housing on White Road in Duncan, B.C. was successfully craned into place, bringing us one step closer to completion. Our team is now starting work on the interior, and we can’t wait to hand over the keys to its deserving new occupants very soon.
Once complete, the new building will be operated by two social service providers: Cowichan Valley Women Against Violence Society and Hiiye’yu Lelum. The complex will include a variety of amenities for residents including a commercial kitchen, dining/lounge area, and exterior upper deck.
The video below contains aerial footage of the last of 60 modules being placed:
This animation breaks down the many phases that will be involved in bringing the complex to life:
A sincere thank you to our amazing site team and to all of our valued partners throughout this process. We are excited to leave things better for this amazing community!
