Nomodic Modular Structures Inc. (Nomodic) announced today that it has signed a three-year Master Service Agreement (MSA) with Nexii Building Solutions Inc. (Nexii), making Nomodic a preferred installer of Nexii projects in North America. The collaboration combines Nexii’s expertise in innovative, sustainable building construction with Nomodic’s expert construction management and turnkey installation service offering.
Together, Nexii and Nomodic will build on their existing portfolio of successful collaborative projects, including two eco-friendly, first-of-their-kind restaurants—a Starbucks drive-thru store and a Popeyes restaurant—that were completed in the past year in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
Both rapidly delivered buildings were built with precision-manufactured panels that used Nexii’s proprietary ‘Nexiite’ material, which is more thermally efficient and less carbon-intensive than traditional concrete construction. When assembled, the Nexii panels create an airtight building envelope, improving each building’s energy efficiency and lowering greenhouse gas emissions for ongoing building operation. Nexii’s process accelerates standard build times by up to 75 per cent and eliminates nearly all construction waste.
Nexii recently attained a valuation of over US$1 billion, becoming the fastest Canadian company to reach unicorn status.

Nomodic is currently providing installation services for Nexii’s next project, a nine-storey, 172-suite Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Nexii’s innovative technology will accelerate the construction timeline by up to eight to 10 weeks, while significantly reducing the environmental footprint of the hotel’s construction.
