“Every Canadian deserves a safe and affordable place to call home.”
– The Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion
The need for affordable housing continues to grow, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and skyrocketing housing markets all over the world. In Canada, the affordable housing crisis is affecting more people than ever before.
As challenges continue to mount, we are confident that our modular and prefabricated construction methods can continue to provide cost savings in several areas and bolster project timelines when compared to traditional construction methods. This results in a greater speed to occupancy, and the ability to put at-risk individuals into a better environment faster.
Building with tomorrow in mind
During our conversations with clients and partners, we often refer to “The Nomodic Advantage” as a key strategy for providing unrivalled access to a vast network for suppliers, fabricators and construction technologies.

A safe, secure and affordable home for all.
Nomodic is a proud member of the BC Non-Profit Housing Association, whose mission is to strengthen the province’s non-profit housing sector through advocacy, education, and support.
A Rapid Response to the Housing Crisis
We’ve seen firsthand how our affordable housing projects can make a difference in communities. By giving people a key to the first front door they’ve had in years, it gives them a sense of ownership and a sense of pride.
Here are some of the other ways we’ve made an impact:
- Providing safe and sustainable social/supportive housing for urban, rural, and Indigenous communities across Canada
- Delivering housing to more than 300 Canadians previously experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness
- Significantly reducing disturbance to these communities during the onsite construction and installation process (less construction traffic, noise, and time on site)
Nomodic has decades of experience delivering modular and prefabricated projects including under CMHC’s Rapid Housing Initiative and other government-funded housing programs.
Through the extensive BC Housing prequalification process, Nomodic was one of seven vendors, and only one of three out-of-province providers, selected to supply the Rapid Response to Homelessness program.
In July 2020, Nomodic was once again prequalified and added to the short list of vendors to supply this initiative through to the end of 2022.
Further validation of Nomodic’s integrator model was achieved when Infrastructure Ontario, a Crown agency of the Province of Ontario that supports government’s initiatives named Nomodic a Qualified Respondent in its 2020 RFQSO for Rapid Construction Delivery.
